Problem
I need to connect two PC's via their serial ports across fiber. Is the 2505 mini optical bit-driver
what I need?
Solution
- The 2505 can be used as long as you do not need the RTS/CTS control signals. This unit will require you to
purchase the 2121 power supply as this unit is externally powered.
- If you wish to use a host powered unit, the 2507 unit performs the same functions as the 2505.
- If control signals are needed, the 2506 Bit-Driver® and 2121 power supply
should be used.
